Below are paintings/drawings and pictures of 19th century (left) and 21st century (right) Brooklyn. The paintings /drawings come from BHS database, and the pictures are taken by me. What I tried to do here was present the past and how it developed and changed over time.
St. Anne Episcopal Church located on Clinton and Livingston Street
St. Anne's Church is one of many churches that still stands today. It is undergoing construction now-- might be to preserve such a historic landmark.
Located on the Corner of Henry and Cranberry Street
The drawing on the left is called "Old Brooklyn Heights/Apprentices' Library Association" I am not quite sure what was the purpose of the edifice during that time, however now it is an apartment building and a restaurant.
Located on the corner of Atlantic and Clinton Streets
The edifice on the left was called Athenaeum, however I do not know what was its purpose. The edifice on the right is an apartment building with a restaurant at the bottom.
Located in the corner of Remsen and Clinton Streets
The depiction on the left illustrates an edifice named the "Long Island Club." The edifice that stands today contains offices.
